An affectionate paean to Smalltown, U.S.A. of a bygone era, Meredith Willson's The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

Freshly cut paper has been brought in from the logging town of Woodsburg, Oregon, for Limelight's first original song play, Lumberjacks: The Musical! A tale of rural working men and women against corporate greed unites the book and lyrics by Brian Brems and Jeremy Wackerlin with the original song compositions of Ben Wooley to bring the community a unique theatre experience previously unseen. The lumberjacks, wives, and townspeople of Woodsburg fight against Xavier Dalton Kilpatrick and his big business logging operation, with some help from Carlton Worthingman, the son of an Oregon Senator with lumberjacking aspirations of his own, and Madeline Cartwright, an incorruptible EPA liaison. The story, characters, dialogue, lyrics, and music are all brand new in this first original musical from the Limelight Theatre Company. Grab an axe and let's get to work.
