Limelight Local Film Festival 2020 – Cancelled
“Your Movies in the Park”
Create your own short film (under 10 minutes) that fits the theme “Summer”. Local movie makers of all ages are invited to enter their original submissions. All films that meet the criteria listed in the festival guidelines will be screened under the stars.
Submitting a Film
Filmmakers of all ages are invited to enter their original submissions guided by the theme “Summer”.
Submission Criteria
- Must be 10 minutes long, or shorter
- Must relate to the given theme
- May be fiction or nonfiction
- All films must feature appropriate content (see guidelines below)
- Filmmakers must complete and submit an Entry Release Form
- Filmmakers must have all actors complete and submit an Actor Release Form
Screening Information
- There will be no adjudication or formal feedback provided
- Up to 15 films will be shown at the film festival
How to enter:
Film submissions due by Wednesday, July 8, 2020 @ 11:59pm
- All filmmakers must register their submission through the Oswegoland Park District for program #17760.
- Fee: $10 on or before June 1; $15 after June 1
- All films must be saved in MP4 or WMV format and uploaded to the GoogleDrive accessed via bit.ly/limelightfilm2020. No late submissions will be accepted. No exceptions.
- All Entry and Actor Release Forms must be returned to Cori Veverka at cveverka@oswegolandpd.org or dropped off at Prairie Point Center (313 E Washington Street, Oswego) by the submission deadline. Failure to include all signed actor release forms will result in disqualification.
Appropriate Content Guidelines:
Films will be screened for an audience of community members of all ages. All video submissions must abide by the following guidelines. Failure to comply will result in automatic disqualification. No refunds will be given for submissions that to not meet the submission criteria.
- Use, display, or discussion of drugs, drug paraphernalia, drug use, alcohol are not allowed.
- Videos cannot contain any partial nudity, nudity, and/or sex, whether it be implied or shown in scene.
- Profanity and/or vulgar language is not allowed. (Bleeping or blurring to cover up inappropriate language is not allowed either.)
- Violence and weapons are not allowed, whether it be implied or shown in scene.
What is it?
Create your own family friendly Tik Tok that fits the theme “Summer”. Creators ages 12 & up are invited to enter their original submissions. All Tik Toks that meet the criteria listed in the Tik Tok Guidelines will be screened under the stars to kick off the Limelight Local Film Fest. Audience members will vote for their favorite film & Tik Tok to receive People’s Choice recognition including certificate and gift card.
Submitting a TIK TOK
Submission Criteria
- Must be shorter than 60 seconds
- Must relate to the Summer theme
- Must feature appropriate content (see guidelines below)
Screening Information
- Up to 25 Tik Toks will be shown at the start of the film festival
- The audience will vote for their favorite for a People’s Choice Award
How to enter:
- Tik Tok submissions due by Wednesday, July 8, 2020 @ 11:59pm
- All creators must register their submission through the Oswegoland Park District for program #17777.
- Fee: $3(R)/$4(N)
- All Tik Toks must be saved in MP4 or WMV format with your name in the file name formatted as “FirstInitial_Lastname_tiktok” and uploaded to the GoogleDrive accessed via bit.ly/limelightfilm2020.
- No late submissions will be accepted. No exceptions.
