Meet our Staff: Ben Brawner

March 26, 2018

Get to know Ben Brawner!

Ben is a dynamic presence on stage with a voice that we could listen to all day. He is also an incredibly creative and kind human being, who has a knack for bringing out the best in people around him.

We asked him a few questions, and here is what he has to say…

Briefly list your education/experience in theater:

I have been involved in theatre since a sixth grade performance of James and the Giant Peach and have been a part of Limelight Theatre Company since 2012   I will be acquiring my B.F.A. in Theatre with an Acting emphasis in May of 2018.

What are you most excited about sharing with Limelight participants?

I’m looking forward to fostering an open space where participants feel free in contributing their own creative ideas in telling a compelling story.

What do you like most about theater?

It’s magical how we as performers, writers, designers, and technicians are able to create unique and unforgettable worlds out what once was a bare stage.

Which Limelight productions have you been a part of?

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, AYP, Macbeth, Once on this Island, G36 G36: The Legend of Jack Gaines, 12 Angry Men, Shrek the Musical, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, An Enemy of the People, Talkin’ Okaloosa County Blues, Beneath the Neon Lights, The Tempest; along with a slew of tech credits and radio shows.

Share a memory from your time as a Limelight participant.

One of my favorite moments as a participant was during a performance of An Enemy of the People was when I had to react in horror to one of my fellow participants delivering a monologue as they climbed on top of tables and chairs.

What is your dream role?

Henry Hill in The Music Man

What game or movie universe would you most like to live in?

I would love to live in the small fictional village of Innisfree from the John Ford film The Quiet Man.
